Mitochondria is part of every cell in the body that contains genetic material.
Mitochondria has it’s own DNA, or blueprint, which is different than the nuclear DNA found in the cells’ nucleus.
Mitochondria are responsible for processing oxygen and converting substances from the foods we eat into energy for essential cell functions.
This energy is then transported to the cytoplasm of a cell for use in numerous cell functions.
Mitochondrial Cytopathy disease destroys this life source.
