Monday's Bouquet

Monday's are turning into my favorite day of the week. Getting a beautiful bouquet of flowers, never mind that they are of the virtual kind!

Monday's Bouquet

This lovely tropical plant is the Allamanda.
*
Just look at the glossy green leaves and gorgeous yellow blooms!
*
Since it's a tropical plant it desires plenty of water, nourishment and light.
*
The blooms are large and usually occur in clusters at the tip of new shoots. The vines grow 15-18 feet in length. This beauty would be ideal for a sun room.
*

Monday's Bouquet
Like a breath of fresh air!
I should add Baby's Breath to my non existent flower garden. The perennial variety, of course :)
I've never planted flowers and such so this is all learning experience for me. All I ever knew about Baby's Breath is it's a filler for floral arrangements, etc.
Actually the bush is quite beautiful with small grayish-green leaves and flower sprays 32 inches tall. I didn't know this.....the flowers can be either white or pale pink, double or single. And.....they are related to the carnation.
After I make my bouquets I must remember to spray with hair spray. This will give the flowers a longer life with a little shine without looking unnatural.
I wonder if my local Lowe's has Baby Breath.

Monday's Bouquet
Today's bouquet is different, totally different than any other bouquet. I'm calling it my bouquet of feathers. Actually it's not "my" bouquet but my friend's Joy at Joy of Six. And, technically, the feathers are not in a vase but they are .........what is the word to describe these feathers?
Incredible....gorgeous.....awesome....unbelievable???
Well, you will just have to take a look for yourself because you will not believe what Joy's cousin did!!
Joy added a little something at the end to put things into perspective...be sure to give it a read (you may need a hankie, I did).
