Hi I'm Heather from Growing in Rejoicing. Thanks for visiting my blog and for your comment. I visited your blog today to see who you were :) And was quite taken by your post on Aug 25th about Mitochondrial Disease.
My dear foster sister passed away in Jan. 2006, her name was Melissa as well ... I still called her Missy. She too was diagnosed at the Mayo and spent a bit of time there. I am so sorry for your loss.
Are you aware of the Mito 5k Walk/Run this weekend? Its Sat. Sept 29th at a park in Eagan, MN. Silent Auction for fundraising and other fun stuff to begin at 9 am and I believe the walk begins at 11. We are hoping to be there.
