I sat on my porch last night and watched the huge display put on by my neighbors. There's just something this year that has hit the hearts of everyone and they showed it by their "over the top" fireworks :)
My sweet Miss C (my choc. lab) was calm thru it all. I'm not saying she particularly liked it but it didn't send her into any fear mode. She even came to the front door and sat while I was outside watching the fun :)
Everyone else in my family was at one of the many concerts going on. It was all family oriented so the kids attended with their parents. At one time I would not have missed a great concert but.......now.......I enjoy the comforts of air conditioning way too much, lol :)
Hope you enjoyed your 4th celebration as much as I did. We have so much to be thankful for :)

You can say that again and again. We took in the band concert, watched 4 sky divers land just feet away from us and then at dusk dark the fireworks. Fun, Fun.
We missed the parade yesterday, but convened at Larry and Denise's for dogs and burgers Sat. night, with more fireworks. The three little kids enjoyed that. There was neighbors all around shooting also.
Larry also made a freezer of home made ice cream. Banana, ummm, good.
We had a very nice 4th too...actually on the 3rd. We really do have a lot to be thankful for Darlene...take care...Love, Joy
