June 1950

A time when little girls wore dresses every day. Had their hair washed and put up in pin curls with bobby pins to air dry. A time when imagination was everything.
*
That summer I had lots of playmates as my parents cared for six other children during the week. On the weekends they would go home to be with their parents. On either side of me are two of my live-in playmates.

Finding old pictures is such fun!

Oh I'm that age too! I remember the bobby pins. I also remember getting a Toni home permanent every year just before school started. I started school with fuzzy hair every year until I was in high school!

I love old pictures too.

Hugs,
Kay

I forgot amout the toni home permanents. I think that must have been a ritual for all us girls just before the start of school.
