Brrrrrrrrr

Yesterday it was one degree, today it's 12......a major warm up....not.

The birds flock to my big, full, pine tree in the front yard. There's a lot of shelter inside that tree. Even the rabbits take refuge there. I've started putting out bird seed (they looked hungry to me) and now they're telling all their other bird friends to join them. I can hear them yelling at the top of their lungs......"food, food, come and get it, food!" It all makes a very colorful scene, Blue Jays, Cardinals, Crows, Sparrows, even the squirrels show up for some leftovers. Nothing goes to waste here.

Good thing we only have dogs in the neighborhood.....wait, my neighbor has a cat....the pesky one that decided to use my (almost) enclosed lounge area for a litter box. It's a good thing I love cats, if you know what I mean.

Have a blessed day!

Brrrrr is right! It's supposed to get down in the teens here and that's very cold for this part of the country. Hope you're staying toasty warm!

I miss Cardinals -- it was always such a treat to see them in the winter time when I lived in IL.

Hugs,
Kay

Way too cold for me. I have real problems dealing with the cold. Find it hard to maintain my body temp. Give me a nice warm fire and lots of blankets to keep cozy in.

As for cats, I totally know what you mean. I have a couple of cats and I love them. But I don't feed the birds because the cats would take advantage.
